&lt;p&gt;Husqvarn has made motorcycles in Sweden since the 1920's, but in the 80's their motorcycle division was bought by the italians.. so, Husky's are actually made in Italy. They are very well known for their supermoto (street) and enduro (dirt) bikes. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;BMW bought Husqvarna motorcycles last year, so now it's a German company. The bikes will still be manufactured in Italy, however. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As a side note, a bunch of the Swedes split off and formed Husaberg when they got bought out by Italians. Now, Husaberg is owned by KTM, and thus, their bikes are actually manufactured in Austria. This kind of stuff screws with your brain.
