I am too much excited for this and have a plan to buy one for me within this week. Your instructions will be a good guideline for me. Thanks a lot for all of these.

Re: Ten things all Motorcyclists should know about Cars

Good post. With summer here I'm seeing so many people riding around in the half-helmets with t-shirts and jeans. I see a lot of new motorcycles too (no tags yet) and when these people aren't wearing gear I assume they're newbs. So its important as motorcyclists to not only observe these points but to spread the word to new riders.

Also, the new tires look sweet. I've been pretending my tires are ready to be replaced (they're actually in fine condition) but after seeing these maybe my tread is a little worn... :)

Re: Ten things all Motorcyclists should know about Cars

Comment on #6:

My semi-recent new car came with a surprising feature that wasn't mentioned in the owner's manual but is very nice. If my turn signal stays on for more than a certain period of time, and I'm not stopped, then the car's warning tone (the one that goes off when I start it) will start to ding in time with it.

Now I realize that a warning tone won't help a motorcyclist much but if the technology for this exists I'll bet that it can be adapted to flash a light or something else that might get a motorcyclist's attention.

Given that over-the-road trucks also do not have self-canceling signals, I'm sure something exists. It might be worth looking into if that self-canceling kit is a big issue.
