And they recently lowered the MSRP on them so that's nice incentive...even though I just bought a new one about 7 months ago but that's life.

They are a bit more maintenance intensive than the Japanese bikes but they're not that bad. Defintely the winner in the "Adventure riding" style which has become more and more popular. There's really no other bike that compares to the F650 IMO. It's really a do it all type of bike. Great off road performance although it's a bit heavy for any hardcore riding but most people don't need that anyway. But it also has great highway performance. The ergonomics are nice and it has enough power to run comfortably all day on the interstate.

But where they shine is when you want to head down an old single lane gravel road or trail. That's what they do best, take the interstate 200 miles and then head off the beaten path to where the real scenery is at. Plus the fuel mileage on these things is incredible. 65 MPG is obtainable.

Anyway, if you are interested in reading more about them, go to www.f650.com and check out the forums. Great bunch of riders and almost any question will be answered, either in the forum or in the FAQ
