Nothing in the docs about any special things required for installing the OS on the CF card... it expects that to be already loaded, apparently.

My Linksys WRT54G ($50-75) with the Sveasoft firmware ($20 for a year's worth of updates) does traffic shaping just fine. :) This looks like a nifty project base though.

Maybe I'm a little slow, but how will you get the OS on it? It doesn't look like you can hook up a CD drive... I assume the OS goes on the CF card, but how do you do the initial install?

I agree, WARP does seem like a cooler name for it :-)

Nice toy, though... now I'm debating pulling something like that together to replace the mini-tower that I'm currently using for a router. I wouldn't have a use for the wireless side of it (already have an access point with a signal booster), but the 3 LAN ports... yeah... I could put those to use.

If it's a Wireless Access Router Platform, shouldn't it be called WARP for short?
